Ro's last day @ Health Ed

12-30-10: Today was Romina's last day as a staffer with Health Ed. A sad day indeed, but she's going to answer a higher calling--that of MOM to her 3 kids. We wish her all the best in her role as full-time mommy!

Challenge 12 Award Dinner

12-7-10: Close to 60 team members from Challenge 12: World Cup, attended our awards dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory Sunday night for good food, great fellowship, and cool prizes. We had 14 teams of 7 members each and for some, it was their first time to meet their teammates and/or captain in person!

Everyone had a good time (at least those that I talked to), the OSF staff was great, and some one in the restaurant even asked Bob G. what his medal was for, so he told them all about our Challenge and BMG! (Way to go, Bob!)

Gearing up now for Biggest Loser 2 in 2011....stay tuned!

Xmas dinner video!

Xmas 2010 Party

12-5-10: Thx to Drew and Kevin for hosting another great Health Ed. xmas dinner party at their place! We missed Meg, though...which gave someone else a chance to win at Left-Right-Center! See the pixs to see who that was.

Challenge 11 Award Lunch!

1-24-10: It was a gorgeous day today as we met at the Old Spaghetti Factory, the newest one, in Redlands, for our Challenge 11 Return to the Moon challenge. Had over 50 people there, and they just fit in our reserved room! We were the OSF's first big group to reserve so this was a test for them--and they did very well! They even thanked me for such a nice group of people, so that was cool (never had the staff line up to thx me and shake my hand!)

Here are some pixs that we took from today...the only thing we forgot to take a pix of was all the prizes that we set out! :-(

All in all, a great day for our luncheon.

Get Quit Clinics a success!

1-13-10: Last week, we held 4 Get Quit Clinics, 1.5 hr seminars co-sponsored by Pfizer and BMG. This was a way for smokers to find out what quitting is all about, and to give them HOPE that they can become a non-smoker.

I didn't get the pixs of the first one in Banning, on Tues. at 2:30 PM, but there were 28 people there, which was a great start! Exceeded the RSVP of 18 or so.

Then on Wed. night up in Yucaipa, you can see in the pictures that there were 53 people jammed in the waiting room! Finally, you can see the pictures of the 2 Redlands sessions, which had more the normal amount of people.

This was a great opp for patients who normally can't make my Mon. night Quit Smoking class to get something out in their area (especially Banning) so I am working on getting some classes set up out that way. Pfizer is also looking at doing more Get Quit clinics in March again, since there is such a need.

In my Mon. night quit smoking class that just started this week, I had the highest number ever--about 30, and out of those, about half attended one of the Get Quit Clinics!

Here are some pixs...
